Jesper Christensen (born 16 May 1948) is a Danish actor and veteran of European cinema.

After 25 years of theatre, - like Alceste in the Misanthropist, Richard in Richard lll (solo), Faust in Faust, Astrov in Vanja, a lot of worried men - stopped doing it in 1998 to play "only worried men on film". Worked on more than 100 films by Per Fly, Marc Forster, John Madden, Lone Scherfig, Sydney Pollack, Jan Troell, Martin Campbell, Anette K Olesen, Pernille Fischer Christensen, and others. Since 2000 he has lived with Tove Bornhoeft, wonderful Danish theatre manager/director/actress and has two grown up daughters.

He has more recently made the transition to English language projects, including The Interpreter and Revelations. He has also appeared as the mysterious villain Mr. White in the last two James Bond films Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.

In his home country, Christensen has won 4 Bodil Awards, 3 for Best Actor (Hør, var der ikke en som lo?, Bænken, and Drabet) and 1 for Best Supporting Actor (Barbara).
