The Spy Who Loved Me Reunion + An Evening With Sir Roger Moore
Pinewood Studios, London, England. 19th October 2008

On a crisp October morning over 100 Bond fans descended on the world famous home of James Bond - Pinewood Studios to celebrate a classic of the Moore era - The Spy Who Loved Me. Upon arrival guests were greeted by the Lotus Espirit (the film road car), a replica wetbike and Naomi's helicopter which were all on display and kindly loaned to us for the day by Cars of the Stars Motor Museum.

Memorabilia dealers were also on hand to satisfy the needs of the eager Bond fans and The Shrubrook Brothers launched their new book dedicated to the late special effects genius - Derek Meddings. More special guests were to arrive during the day including Shane Rimmer, Caroline Munro, Paul Weston, Christopher Wood, June Randall, Malcolm Christopher, Peter Lamont, Alec Mills, Alan Hume, Martin Grace, John Glen, Sir Kenneth Adam and Edward De Souza.

Dave Worrall and Gareth Owen then treated visitors to an hour long studio tour visiting many locations used in the Bond films such as the ornamental bridge used in From Russia With Love, Pinewood's sound stages doubling as Auric Goldfinger's factory complex and the famous Albert R Broccoli 007 Stage which has housed such sets as the tanker in The Spy Who Loved Me and the interior of the Ice Palace in Die Another Day. It was then back to the house for a delicious buffet lunch served in Pinewood's ballroom.

After lunch it was over to Theatre 7 - Pinewood's state of the art cinema where Roger Moore's stunt double Martin Grace talked about working on The Spy Who Loved Me and introduced a special screening of a short animated film - The Fly Who Loved Me for which Sir Roger Moore provided the voice. It was now time for the main event and thanks to our friends at MGM and Park_Circus loaning us the digital master copy we could present The Spy Who Loved Me in all its remastered glory..the audience were literally blown away!!

It was then back to the house for more mingling and signings. Sir Kenneth Adam had also arrived to sign copies of his new book - Ken Adam Designs The Movies: Bond Beyond.
