Sunday September 24th September was a glorious day at Pinewood with the sun shining – and a perfect day to celebrate all things ‘Classic Bond’   After morning coffee, guests were escorted to The John Barry Theatre, and ahead of a 4k screening of You Only Live Twice which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, some members of the cast and crew were introduced including Assistant Director William P Cartlidge who read a humurous and touching letter from Lewis Gilbert. Then another letter was read, from one of the film’s biggest fans – the Prime Minister, Theresa May!   Bill Cartlidge, Peter Lamont, Francisca Tu, Rocky Taylor, Norman Wanstall, Sylvana Henriques and Vic Armstrong introduce the stunning 4k restoration of You Only Live Twice in The John Barry Theatre   At the end of the film, James Bond Theme composer Monty Norman arrived to be introduced – topping off the perfect screening.     Eunice Gayson Paul Weston A delicious two-course Sunday lunch was served in the Pinewood Ballroom following which there was a video montage in memory of Roger Moore, and tributes were paid by director John Glen, long time stunt co-ordinator Paul Weston and production designer Peter Lamont.   Vic Armstrong & Rocky Taylor interviewd by Gareth   A very funny and insightful Q&A with William P Cartlidge, stunt men Vic Armstrong & Rocky Taylor and sound editor Norman Wanstall followed, as did the grand final of out Mastermind Quiz on stage ... where one young finalist realised he maybe shouldn’t have accepted help in the first written round.   Brian Dobson - Bondstars Mastermind champion 2017 Brian Gorman - One Man Bond   After a cream tea, some guest signings and time to browse the memorabilia stalls, guests settled into the ballroom to enjoy Brian Gorman’s One Man Bond – every Bond film in 60 minutes.
