Terry Ackland-Snow was born in December 1943 and began his career in the Film and Television industry in the Art Department at Danziger Studios in Elstree at the age of 18.
His first job was working as a Junior Draughtsman on a TV series entitled Richard the Lion Heart. The first major feature film he worked on was In the Cool of the Day in 1962.
From then on he worked his way from junior positions, up to Art Director, Supervision Art Director and finally Production Designer on films ranging from Battle of Britain, The Deep, The Great Muppet Caper, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Supergirl, Batman (1989), Aliens, Spy Likes Us ... and was a junior draftsman on Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service, before returning to the fold in 1987 as Art Director on The Living Daylights.
In 2000 Terry set up Film Design International to give something back to the industry he is so passionate about.
