Biography

Pamela Salem was born in Bombay, India, and entered the film & tv business in 1971, in Britain.

She was cast in popular tv series The Onedin Line as Emma Callon, and guest roles followed in the likes of Jason King, The Adventurer, Doctor Who, Van der Valk, The Professionals, Blake's 7, Ever Decreasing Circles, Magnum PI, Boon, ER and most recently Party Of Five.

Her film work started in 1978 with The First Great Train Robbery - opposite Sean Connery - which was closely followed by The Bitch and, in 1983, she was cast opposite Connery again for the Bond film, Never Say Never Again in which she played Miss Monneypenny.

In 1988, Pamela became a regular in popular BBC Soap, EastEnders playing Dirty Den's girlfriend, Joanne Fracis.

Other film work includes Gods And Monsters, Quicksand and April's Shower.

Pamela now lives in California.

With a vast body of work behind her, she still finds the brief role of Moneypenny to be one she is most fondly remembered for, and indeed herself has fond memories of her time on the Bond film.
