Elaine Schreyeck was born in 1924 in Tulse Hill, London, England. She entered film industry in September 1941 at Paramount Pictures in London’s Wardour Street and then the following February joined Ealing Studios, under Michael Balcon, to work in the script department before becoming secretary to director Basil Dearden.

In July 1943, she worked on first film as continuity \ script supervisor, until her retirement in 1986.

Known for such films as The Prince And The Showgirl, Cleopatra, The Private Life Of Sherlock Holmes, Superman, Superman II, The Omen, Battle of Britain and Evil Under The Sun, Elaine worked on six Bond movies including Diamonds Are Forever, Live and Let Die, The Man With The Golden Gun, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only and Octopussy.
